Daniel Kadolph is a founding member of Artisan Advisors and now serves as special advisor for Artisan and its clients.
For much of his banking career, Dan has been a chief financial officer with a track record as a progressive executive leader, operational and business strategist. He has been a trusted advisor to chief executive officers and Boards, with a history of sound financial guidance in complex business situations involving rescue, turnaround, and growth of financial institutions. His experience includes chief financial officer positions with two publically traded bank holding companies with $41.2 MM and $220.0 MM in revenue; he oversaw M&A activities, debt & equity raises, bank relationship, investor relations, cash flow and liquidity management.
Dan has deep experience in working with troubled banks. He played a key role, as chief financial officer and part of the executive management team, in rescuing and resurrecting Centrue Bank, leading to its sale for a 42% internal rate of return to recap investors. He managed the finance, accounting, facilities, operations and IT functions during his tenure.
Dan began his career with Midwest Banc Holdings, Inc. and Midwest Bank and Trust Company, where he started as a teller and rose through the ranks to become chief financial officer.
Dan earned his Bachelor of Arts in business administration and philosophy, and his Master of Business Administration from Rosary College (now Dominican University). Dan is a registered certified public accountant in the state of Illinois.
