Jim Adkins is one of the founders and a Managing Partner of Artisan Advisors LLC. Jim provides advisory services in the following areas: board advisory, strategic and organizational planning, capital planning, executive coaching and evaluation, and enterprise risk management. Jim has also successfully completed numerous interim banking executive assignments, guiding clients through executive-level transitions.

Over his banking career, Jim has served as president of a high-performing $1 billion commercial bank, senior lender of a multi-billion dollar, publicly traded commercial bank, and the chief credit officer of a Chicago-based commercial bank. Jim also led the financial and strategic turnaround of a troubled commercial banking group, leading the way to its eventual sale to a national banking institution.

Since starting Artisan Advisors in 2011, Jim has provided executive-level consulting services to financial institutions throughout the U.S. Clients include institutions seeking new strategic directions, organizational efficiencies, and best-practice risk management. A frequent speaker at industry events and seminars, Jim is a valuable resource to boards and senior management team, providing a unique perspective a banker and advisor.

Jim earned his Bachelor of Science in Business and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee.
