Mike Boettcher, CPA, is a seasoned financial executive with more than 35 years of financial management experience.  He began his professional career with a big eight accounting firm, and then worked in the service and non-profit industries, before moving into the banking industry for more than 25 years. During that time, he served as chief financial officer at two Wisconsin-based banks: First National Bank - Fox Valley and then Fortifi Bank.

As CFO, Mike was an advisor to the boards of both banks, on strategic, capital, and operational matters.  His broad experience includes extensive involvement in two successful private placement common stock offerings, including OTCQX listing, as well as issuance of preferred stock through the U.S. Treasury TARP and SBLF programs.  Mike was the point person for the board, investment bankers and attorneys on the sell side of a bank acquisition to a publicly traded bank holding company.  He also served as chairperson of the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) and worked directly with regulators and attorneys on resolution of a formal agreement.  Mike has been extensively involved in operational and information technology including core processing contract negotiations, conversions, and vendor management matters.  He also has managed investment and wholesale funding portfolios.

At Artisan, Mike counsels clients on a wide range of issues including asset liability management, balance sheet funding strategies, investment portfolio management, capital planning, transaction due diligence information technology core processing and network contract negotiations, treasury management, branch structure and profitability modeling, and risk management and compliance related concerns.  Mike will lead and facilitate communication with investment bankers, attorneys, accounting firms and other professionals on transaction and banking related matters.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in accounting, from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Wisconsin.
